Sempre più bambine indifese: +543% di casi di pedopornografia (FOTO)

indifesaQuest’anno il dossier Indifesa di Terres des Hommes mette in luce una situazione molto difficile per i nostri minori.

Indifesa: le bambine hanno bisogno di una rivoluzione

In Occasione della Giornata mondiale dell’Onu delle bambine e delle ragazze che si svolgerà domani  11 ottobre sono stati sottolineati alcuni dei molteplici pericoli che minacciano i bambini in Italia.

Secondo il rapporto di Terres des Hommes:

  • 5080 minori hanno subito violenze nel 2015
  • erano 4946 solo 5 anni fa, con un aumento del 3%
  • le vittime sono state nel 60% dei casi bambine

It terrifies me just to think about it. But it also terrifies me to live this life, knowing there is no hope. At least I can take the risk, and have some hope." Alexis, his mother and five siblings live in extreme poverty, in a wood and corrugated iron shack built on a slope that turns into mud every time it rains. Alexis, mother Mercedes, and the teenage children work odd jobs when they can find them harvesting cocoa pods or chiles. Two older siblings who work and live in nearby towns help out as much as they can. Mercedes said "Alexis had left because of poverty. He told me he was going so he could help me and all the children I have. He wanted to study." At the age 16, Alexis and a cousin packed their meager belongings and hit the road, hoping to escape the bitter poverty in which they grew up in Honduras. Like hundreds of thousands of others from Central America, they hoped to make it to the United States. But for Alexis, the journey ended in Mexico, when he fell off a freight train and lost his right leg - not an uncommon injury on the notorious route. Now, he is back home - a wood and corrugated iron shack built on a slope that turns into mud every time it rains. His mother and his teenage siblings work odd jobs when they can find them, harvesting chilies, taking care of other people's children or helping out in food stalls. Getting to the United States, was about more than just "an American dream," says Alexis. "It's about getting out of the country, which has so much poverty. I wanted to get there and work and help my brothers and my mother." Alexis sometimes joins a local UNICEF-supported outreach group to tell other young people about the dangers of the journey. Brutte notizie anche per quanto riguarda le famiglie:

  • aumentano le violenze domestiche: 1442, ovvero +24% rispetto a 5 anni fa
  • aumentano i casi di violazione degli obblighi di assistenza famigliare: 8961, +9%

Per quanto riguarda invece la pedopornografia:

  • è aumentata del 543%
  • nell’81% dei casi le vittime sono bambine e ragazze
  • nel 2015 ci sono state 411 vittime, il 78% delle quali femmine

Una delle pochissime note positive è il calo delle violenze sessuali e di quelle aggravate:

  • -26% violenze sessuali
  • -31% (908 minori nel 2015 ),
  • l’82% di questi crimini sono rivolti contro le femmine (770)

I molestatori, tristemente, sono per buona parte coetanei:

  • 817 sono i minori condannati per violenze sessuali
  • 267 sono quelli responsabili dello sfruttamento della pornografia e della prostituzione minorile

La situazione non è buona neanche per i piccoli che vivono nei Paesi in guerra come Iraq e Siria. Molti vengono rapiti o arruolati a forza nelle varie milizie, per non parlare dei matrimoni precoci.

Per sensibilizzare le persone sulla situazione delle bambine Terres des Hommes, chiede a tutti noi di farci portavoce dei valori della campagna Indifesa tramite la “Rivoluzione arancione” che parte domani 11 ottobre con l’hashtag #Orange.

Per partecipare basta postare su Facebook, Twitter o Instagram un oggetto, uno slogan, una foto, o magari un selfie, usando questi hashtag: #OrangeRevolution e #indifesa e il colore arancione.

L’arancione è un colore che, in passato, ha caratterizzato varie rivoluzioni, ma si auspica anche che possa rompere gli stereotipi di genere che associano il rosa alle bambine.

 

“Questi dati incrementali ci colpiscono e ci devono far riflettere, perché dietro non c’è solo il mondo della criminalità organizzata. Dobbiamo chiederci come il mondo degli adulti sia arrivato a considerare le bambine come un oggetto sessuale. Dobbiamo chiederci in che ambiente stiamo facendo vivere le future generazioni” ha dichiarato Raffaele Salinari, presidente di Terre des Hommes.
